Our discovery, probably a climber mutation of a Hybrid Perpetual. Vigorous and erect, carrying clusters of flowers deep pink in color, very fully doubled and with overlaying petals. Exceptional perfume. One-time bloomer.

Althought the name i s not intentionally referred to Tommaso Campanella his life is so interesting and worth reading.''5 September 1568 – 21 May 1639), baptized Giovanni Domenico Campanella, was an Italian philosopher, theologian, astrologer, and poet, a revolutionnary and a rebel. Born in Reggio Calabria , Campanella was a child prodigy. Son of a poor and illiterate cobbler, he entered the Dominican Order before the age of fifteen.He was denounced by the Inquisition, went back to Calabria was accused of conspiracy towards Spain. He spent 27 years in prison, in the worst conditions.He wrote ''the city of the sun'' and ''defense of galileo''Pope Urban VII dlievered him, but soon afterwards had to flee to France where he was in the graces of cardinal de Richelieu and Louis XIII.
