description

Syn.: \"Duchesse d\'Orleans\", \"Grande Pivoine\". A shrub that is fairly small in size, with thorny canes and light foliage. The flowers are solitary or in clusters of 2-3, small, double and cupped, with petals that slightly curve backward, leaving a small green-yellow eye visible. The color is pink, stippled in the center and paler on the edges, fading to violet. Scented. One-time bloomer.
