Atragene (Alpina and Macropetala) Group

description

Climbers, they bloom in spring from axillary buds on the old wood and also, later in the season, with a terminal flower on young shoots. Flowers are bell-shaped. Pruning group 1: pruning is recommended only when necessary to reduce their size. Possibly suffering in winter from fungal attacks on too moist soils, the plant usually starts again from the base. Same planting depth as in the pot.
