Roses botanical and their hybrids
Botanical roses are those that grow in the wild in all parts of the world. By spontaneous or deliberate hybridization, currently at least a hundred varieties exist with extremely diverse characteristics depending on their region of origin. While today their natural habitat is greatly at risk, there is a growing movement to reclaim these roses as much as possible, to be used for creating more natural, less time consuming gardens. It is not necessary to have a large garden to grow some botanical roses, which are of limited size and adapt well to small gardens. However, others have the capacity to grow into true giants, ideal for training into and up trees. Their flowers are almost always single in form, rarely scented, and all are one-time bloomers. In compensation, they do produce beautiful hips that can be very decorative in the fall.
